COURT WORKS ASSISTANCE – There are always opportunities for members to be more involved in the running of the club.  If you are able to offer some time at various points in the year to help out with maintenance tasks e.g. painting benches, sweeping courts etc. we would be very pleased to hear from you.  We already have some support in this role however we would gladly welcome more helpers and expertise.  The club runs solely on volunteers so that we can all enjoy our beautiful courts in their beautiful setting.  If anyone feels that they may be in a position to offer some of their time, then please get in touch (to our Club Secretary Jason Spears – sears-j@sky.com).

AGM – The KATC AGM  was held on Tuesday 29 March 2022 at the Burley Rugby Club.  All members are welcome to attend AGMs, you can meet your committee and fellow members, learn about how the club works and current issues, and get involved in the club’s administration.

Coaching New coaching programme to start in April 2022 – Details to follow shortly

Annual Meal  We try to organise an annual meal in our partner venue, The Vesper Gate pub, usually in October.  Typically 15-20 people meet for our annual meal in a nice environment, it is good to catch up with members old and new.  Everyone welcome!  If you have any queries please contact our new Social Secretary Andy Baum.

British Tennis Membership – It’s free to become a British Tennis Member.  To join just go to their website (www.lta.org.uk) and click on the ‘log in or sign up today’ tab in the top right corner or ring 020 8487 7000.  For further information please contact Roger Harris (07806 789580 / 0113 2588698 / rharris999@hotmail.co.uk)

LTA/Clubspark – We now also have an entry on the LTA’s Clubspark system – see Kirkstall Abbey Tennis Club / Kirkstall Tennis (lta.org.uk)

Court Maintenance It may be necessary to close the courts at short notice for maintenance, for example to treat issues such as moss growth.  In early April 2017 the courts were sprayed with anti-moss treatment, power washed and re-painted.  This greatly improved the playing surface which should now remain in excellent condition for many years.

Court Rules Please consider and obey the court rules which makes things pleasant for everybody.  They can be found in our KATC Club Brochure 2022.
